Have you ever owned something that meant far more to you than its appearance? Something that reminds you of a person, a memory, a chapter of your life, or a version of yourself you'll always carry with you?

That's the feeling I want Gioia Jewel to capture.

Gioia Jewel began in September 2025. I was 19, studying full-time at university and working part-time alongside it. I didn't have everything figured out. I simply had an idea I believed in and a desire to create something of my own. Something that could grow with me, reflect what I value and, hopefully, mean something to other people too.

Building a brand while balancing university, work and everything else that comes with growing up hasn't always been easy. Much of the journey has involved learning as I go, figuring things out along the way and taking chances before I felt completely ready.

Although I've done much of the work myself, I haven't been entirely alone. I'm incredibly grateful for the friends who supported me, encouraged me when things felt uncertain and believed in me — sometimes even more than I believed in myself. A special thank you goes to my mum and especially my dad, who helped bring this website to life and played a meaningful part in turning my idea into something real.

At Gioia Jewel, I believe jewellery can be more than something beautiful to wear. It can be a reminder of who you are, how far you've come or the person you're becoming.

A piece of jewellery can hold a memory, represent a new beginning, remind you of someone you love or simply make you feel a little more like yourself. Sometimes, its meaning comes from the story behind its design. Other times, it's the story you choose to give it.

We want every piece to feel personal — something you choose not just because you love how it looks, but because something about it resonates with you. A reminder of your strength, your individuality, your femininity or a moment in your life you never want to forget.

Because beauty isn't just about what you see. It's about what you feel.

Our journey begins with the Botanical Collection, inspired by the beauty and symbolism of nature. Flowers are delicate, yet resilient. Each blooms in its own way, in its own time. There's something familiar in that: the changes we go through, the strength we discover and the beauty of becoming who we are.

My very first piece is the orchid necklace. Chosen for its elegance and quiet strength, the orchid represents a femininity that doesn't need to be loud to be powerful. It reflects the idea that softness and strength can exist together, that you can be graceful and bold, and that you never need to fit someone else's idea of who you should be.

But the orchid is just the beginning of a much bigger story.

I hope to grow Gioia Jewel into a brand shaped not only by me, but by the people who wear its jewellery. With the involvement of my customers, followers and community, my vision is to create new designs and introduce future collections inspired by the people who become part of this journey.
